About Bedford, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Bedford, Indiana is a city found in Lawrence County, and it also serves as the county seat. As of 2010, about 13,500 people resided in this community, which is known as the world’s limestone capital. In fact, much of the limestone used for in the construction of monuments found in the nation’s capital was quarried in Bedford. The Bedford area is home to ten elementary schools and three middle schools that feed into the local Bedford North Lawrence High School.

There are plenty of interesting things to see and do in Bedford and the surrounding area. Arguably the most popular attraction is the Bluespring Caverns, which features an hour-long underground boat tour. The Hoosier National Forest and Milwaukee Trail are two of the most popular outdoor recreational destinations, and antiques are plentiful at the Highway 37 Flea Market and Wildflower Antiques and Primitives. Other noteworthy destinations include The Primitive Porch, Salt Creek Brewery, and Applacres.

It is very important that Bedford residents maintain their home heating and cooling systems throughout the year. This is especially true during the winter, as no one will want to be without a reliable heat source during this season. Temperatures fall into the 30s, although average lows reach the low-20s during January and February. Without the right gas or electric furnace system at home, indoor temperatures could fall to dangerously low levels and plumbing systems could freeze.

The climate of southern Indiana experiences hot and humid summer months. July is the warmest month of the year, and average high temperatures reach about 87 degrees Fahrenheit. Frequent rainfall is also typical throughout the season, with a yearly total of about 45 inches. Throughout this season, a large portion of home utility bills will result from cooling systems, so residents are wise to invest in a unit with high dependability and efficiency ratings.
